Equine Assisted DBT Group
October 3 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 4:00 pm on Monday, repeating until October 17, 2022
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) is made up of 4 key modules: mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. Our unique equine component helps improve engagement, learning, and implementation of DBT skills. Learning and practicing with the horses promotes confidence and connection. Sessions involve a mindfulness activity, learning of a skill, and the practice of that skill. Horses are integral to all sessions. This group will run for 6 weeks with the option to extend until December.
This program is designed for ages 12-15. Closed-toed shoes are required when working with the horses.
When: Mondays from 4:00- 5:00 beginning 09/12
